সূরা আশ-শো’আরা - মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ
Surah Ash-Shu'araa, popularly known as "The Chapter of the Poets," is the Quran's 26th chapter. It was revealed in Mecca and consists of 227 verses.
The name of this surah comes from the mention of poets in the opening few verses. It discusses several aspects of Muhammad's (peace be upon him) prophethood and his opponents' rejection of his message. The surah tells the accounts of numerous prophets from the past, including Prophet Noah, Prophet Abraham, Prophet Moses, and Prophet Hud. These stories serve as a reminder of the repercussions of rejecting heavenly counsel and messengers.
